of mice of men essays
of mice of men essays Friends are always a part of your life and help you out. They are always there for you and they comfort you at times of hardship. In this book, Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, it shows the story about the lives of George and Lennie and their unconditional love for each other. George and Lennie are the best of friends, but sometimes in life, your best friend can be your worst enemy. Lennie, the main character of the book is a man that always ruins dreams. Lennie would always ruin Georges plans and dreams and not even know it. Everywhere Lennie and George goes to get a job, they always end up getting into a lot of trouble, and eventually leave to start new and fresh someplace else. In one part of the book, Lennie kills Curlys wife whil e petting her hair, so in revenge Curly wants to kill him. George had two choices, whether to watch Lennie die painfully and slowly, or kill Lennnie himself with one shot to the head. That shows Georges true friendship when he decided to shoot Lennie himself because he wanted Lennie to die fast instead of Curly making him suffer. George shooting Lennie is a symbol, which shows the great love and friendship between them even though everything is sacrificed. ...
